Pankaj Merchia, MD, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding MDPad, Dr. Merchia was a manager in the New Jersey Office of McKinsey & Company where he primarily served clients in the Firm's Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products and Payor-Provider Practices on a varied theory, structured communication, workflow automation, and collaboration at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Brigham & Women's Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospitals. Dr. Merchia has been featured by scores of publications including The New York Times and Fortune Magazine selected him as one of five individuals "Inventing Tomorrow Today" for his work at MDPad.

Dr. Merchia holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School & Massachusetts Institute of Technology's joint Division of Health Sciences & Technology. He graduated at the age of 18 from The Johns Hopkins University with Bachelor's Degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Mathematics, each with honors. Dr. Merchia has also studied Eastern culture, philosophy and traditional medicine in South East Asia as a Thomas J. Watson, Jr. Fellow.

T. Scott Johnson, MD
Dr. Johnson joined MDPad's Board of Directors in August 2000. In July 1999, Dr. Johnson founded JSB Partners, L.P., an investment bank focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private financings and corporate alliances within the health care sector. From July 1991 to June 1999, Dr. Johnson served as a founder and managing director of MPM Capital, L.P. Dr. Johnson held academic positions at the Harvard Medical School from 1978 to 1996 and was actively involved in both basic science and clinical research at the Beth Israel Hospital and the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Johnson received both his B.A. and M.D. from the University of Alabama.

Jiwan Merchia, PhD, Chief Decision Systems Architect & Acting Chief Financial Officer
Prior to Founding MDPad, Dr. Merchia was a management consultant at RVP Consultants on the use of decision support systems and data warehousing for a number of Fortune 100 companies. Previously he has served on the business school faculty at Columbia University, The University of Connecticut, and Drexel University. Dr. Merchia is a CPA, CMA, and CCA. Dr. Merchia graduated from high school at the age of 12, was ranked first in B.A. in Economics & Mathematics from Panjab University, holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with honors from Delhi University, and a Ph.D. in Decision Support Systems with field honors in Operations Management & Management Accounting from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business.
